His Wish: Meet the Bulldogs
Bradley is an 11 year old boy who lives in North Queensland wished for his special wish to “Run on the Field of Telstra Stadium with Bradley Clyde” because he loves football and he was named after Bradley Clyde! Bradley suffers from Heart Disease and has had open heart surgery and will require more surgery in the future however his condition is stable and at the present time he is very well.
Bradley and his Mum, Dad & sister flew to Sydney in June and his wish was granted on Friday, 15th June when he and Brad Clyde led the Bulldogs out on to Telstra Stadium for their game against the Brisbane Broncos. Bradley was so thrilled to not only be with his namesake to lead out the team but also to carry out the kicking tee for the game.
Bradley was thoroughly spoilt by the Bulldogs and got to meet all the team and spend time with them in the dressing room. They also gave him a Bulldogs Jersey as a memento of his special wish.
Bradley’s mum told us that he was totally overwhelmed by the whole experience and she had managed to wash his Bulldogs jersey once but only because he had spilt something on it and was scared it would stain.
Another highlight of Bradley’s trip to Sydney was getting to meet all the guys from the Footy Show. Starlight arranged for Bradley and his family to go along to the Thursday night taping of the show which was very exciting for all of them. Bradley’s wish was a fantastic experience for him and his family and one that he will always remember.
