In 2008, Cruise for Charity will become an environmentally friendly event by carbon offsetting through a partnership with GreenFleet.

With over 2,000,000kms being completed across seven states, it is important that we try to protect not only the children that your donations support, but also our environment.

Part of your minimum donation to participate in Cruise for Charity 5 will go toward the planting of trees that effectively offset your carbon emissions generated through participating in the cruises.

More than 2600 native trees will be planted as a result of your donations in 2008. These plants will soak up 2647 tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere, making Cruise for Charity 5 a 'carbon friendly' series of events.
