Jake is an Essendon mad 15 year old boy who was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at birth. He loves to take trips on the train and is a big fan of 80’s music, game shows, Italian food and Banana’s in Pyjamas.
Jake requires lots assistance for everyday living and his mother helps him with everything she can. Although his mobility and vision is restricted, Jake loves the water and goes swimming every chance he gets! Jakes mother says “Jake loves the water, when he’s in the pool it’s the only time he is fully independent and doesn’t need assistance to stand.”
More than anything in the world, Jake would love to take a cruise on a boat with his mother. Through your generosity, Starlight will be able to grant Jake’s wish, so that Jake and his mother can have the luxury of going swimming every day, enjoy the sunshine and not have to worry about cooking dinner!
The granting of this uncomplicated wish will mean that Jake and his family will be able to spend some quality time together, and have some cherished memories to look back on for many years to come.
