We do occasionally get asked this question, believe it or not.

The accepted definition of a volunteer is someone who gives their time willingly and without the expectation of compensation.

Cruise for Charity is a not-for-profit organisation and the involved parties, including Street Commodores and its parent company Express Publications do not make a single cent from the event. In fact, Express spend thousands each year in staffing and travel costs to put the event on.

Besides a complimentary Cruise for Charity entrant tshirt, sticker and showbag, the most you can expect is a deep feeling of self-satisfaction that you're assisting an event that will ultimately effect the lives of many children who need our help. Not to mention the sincere gratitude of all those who are also volunteering their time and of course us here at Street Commodores HQ.
